rob@... I don't understand your support system. I purchased support. I logged a bug. Your system says status is "waiting on customer". I cannot access anything to read about what you are waiting on. Why not? I have received nothing. In my bug report I said if this can't be fixed quickly and easily, I will request my money back. That point is rapidly approaching. It should not be this hard. stephen.shirley@... I have had version 6.2.4 for years running on XP and Vista and have been very happy!! I upgraded to 6.7 on Windows 7 and the performance is terrible....really terrible (at least 10-15 secs to open a window and another 5-10 to runa search). Tha application seems disk bound as teh HDD sits at 100% for the time the UI is locked up.4 days ago

nicole@... I love this product. I am the Director of Operations for a small bio-medical comapny and I could no longer function without this tool. It digs up lost emails, finds obscure attachments and helps me re-organize misplaced files. If somebody says they emailed me on a topic, I can put in their name, one plausible word and then confirm whether that ever made it to me. I fantasize about being able to install something like this on the server, the only problem would be permissions. Good Work!2 months ago

Rneese@... Have enjoyed using X-1 for years on my old XP computer. On Windows 7 I am using Windows Live Mail (Outlook Express's successor) and Mozilla Thunderbird 3. Does X1 have plans to support these programs in future updates?4 months ago
X1 Thunderbird 3 is supported today with X1 Professional Client v6.7. Windows Live Mail is not supported. As you might be aware, Microsoft has changed the default mail client 3 times since Windows XP, all of which are incompatible. Now it seems they have selected Windows Live Mail. Because of all of these changes and the impending release of Office Live, we've chosen to focus on IMAP, which can support any email account. Look for IMAP support coming soon.

X1 I'm really sorry you feel that way and we hate to see you go, but let's see if we can get to the bottom of this. X1 has been logo certified by Microsoft as a quality and fully supported product on Windows 7 (and prior to that Vista), thus I'm not sure what's causing you problems. Have you upgraded to the latest version, 6.7? Have you talked to our support folks? You can do either by logging into your personal support portal at www.x1.com/support

I am dissapointed to learn that I have to buy a new subscription. When I purchased X1 in 2005, the terms were lifetime. I will not renew my license (now a "subscription" implying yearly renewals). Moreover, I will not refer others to the X1 treadmill. Best of luck.

Unfortunately my company has moved from using Outlook/Exchange Servers to using Google Apps, and I really struggle to locate information. Is there any plan to integrate the X1 search and index capabilities into Google Mail?6 months ago
X1 X1 can index Gmail and Google Apps mail if configured into a desktop email client, but we'll work more directly with Google Mail in upcoming releases. Stay tuned.

I have just added a "Sharepoint Lists" PST within outlook (outlook folder that auto syncs to a sharepoint directory). X1 recognizes the PST, notes the data, but does not return search results. Do I need the X1 Sharepoint Client ? Thanks in advance6 months ago
X1 X1 will index and allow you to search PST files. Not sure why you aren't getting results. Best thing would be to talk to our customer service guys who can walk through it with you live and see what's going on. Log into your support portal and file a ticket so we know how to contact you.

X1 Thanks for the feedback. X1 is currently a Windows only solution. We have no existing plans for a MacOS version, but requests like yours help us to measure demand and prioritize for the future. You never know.

ray@... I just upgraded from 6.2.4 and realized that the new veriosn is very slow. I have a Vaio notebook with Wondows 7 , 32 bit, 4(actually 3GB) Ram and 270GB harddisk. Am I doing something wrong?

Anonymous HELP.
I have a licensed copy of X1 and recently upgraded my computer to Windows 7 64-bit. X1 now behaves badly; locks up regularly, no task bar, doesn't seem to keep indices correctly. I have version v 6.1 3575.
I reviewed your site for upgrade but couldn't find any reference to 64-bit windows 7. do you have a version that works on Windows 7 64-bit that I can upgrade to. Love x1, dying at thought of not having i7 months ago

X1 Hi Brenda - thank you for recommending X1 to your peers. To install the latest version for X1 you can either download the trial version from the X1 website and add your registration key or you can log into the support portal to obtain the download links.
